Bullying is an epidemic in the United States that takes many forms and can effect both children and adults psychologically, physically, emotionally, socially, and even financially. 

 

While legislation is in place at the federal level and most states have anti-bullying laws, far too often the response from law enforcement and our public schools is ineffective, leaving parents and children trapped in an irreconcilable, endless cycle of frustration and hopelessness. 

 

When victims of bullying take matters into their own hands, the result can be devastating.  One tragedy is one too many, yet the leaders in our communities don't seem to be getting the message.  It's time to stop depending on institutions and challenge ourselves to effect real change.  The kind our children deserve.  

 

We need a nation of UPSTANDER's to stop the bullying epidemic, and it begins with you.
